What Members Thought
I liked the book and thought that Death as a narrator was unique. I did not *LOVE* the book. Sometimes, just as I was getting into the events and the story, it was interrupted by the narration of Death.
I took a long time to get to this. I tend to be put off if a book appears "hyped" and this did. When I first started to read, the style really jarred and I prepared myself not to like it, even to make a decision to DNF it. But then it stopped bothering me. I even started to appreciate the manner in which we were forewarned about bad news to come.
