This book had everything against it before I started reading. I'm not fond of children's books (though, technically, 12 and up isn't a children's book.) I've been working my way through "classics" - some of which have been truly awful. While this book was not from my list of classics, it did win an award, which was another strike against it. It was in a list of books that are good examples of "world-building." With more than a little trepidation, I started listening - and was quickly hooked.

A funny little story, but I enjoyed it. Well written and engaging. Nice character arc, from supporting the world order at the start to opposing it
