Orwell did not create a fable as many have suggested. His "fairy story" is an outcry against the dangerous outcomes of the stupidity of a herd mentality. And that, Dear Reader, is a pun intended. An excellent tale, filled with all the obvious pitfalls and dangers that all fairy tales are filled with.
