Classic is generally not my cup of tea. I'm glad I finally read this one thanks to audiobooks.
The plot is short and simple but what's attractive is that the whole story is told from a child's POV. I didn't think this will every happen but some things are funny since it's written with a child's innocence. It's not often that I regret not having read a book before. This one is going on my list of books to buy - which generally means finding it in hardback. At the same time, it gives me great satisfaction that I have finished it now, as it gives this particular chunk of my life a positive point. I have read a great book. When I do find the hardback copy, I'll have to read through it and copy out the pieces that I especially liked.
