What Members Thought
This book was very hard to take. It centers on a topic that no person (and especially no parent) wants to imagine. It was a very thoughtful and brave story and it brings the subject to light with all of the horror, but also some of the hope. The book reminds me of a Jodi Picoult book in so many different ways, especially the way the story is told from varying perspectives and the incredible, almost mind-blowing toughness of the subject. Moving and disturbing. Makes us realize that we never can know what goes on behind the closed doors of our friends and neighbors. It's the tale of a woman who discovers that someone she thought was a close friend leading a normal, happy life is really entrenched in evil.
