This is an entertaining tale about life behind the scenes in an animal theme park/zoo. The major drama in the story centers around the murder of a hippo, who is one of the main attractions there.
The main characters are the son of employees of the park and the daughter of the man who created it. They are fairly interesting, but the rest of the characters are pretty cartoonish and/or very two-dimensional.
