What Members Thought
What an amazing book about learning the afghan culture through a 40 year span from 1970s to 2010. These women have endured so much. It was incredible to learn that their culture was tolerant of women in the 70s but reversed...especially when the Taliban arrived in the late 90s. It has really made an impression on me about the Middle Eastern culture and progressive rights for women.
