What Members Thought
This is a fun and whimsical tale about an unusual family with an unusual car. The story is entertaining and dramatic and a quick read. I like that the story is still appealing to children almost 50 years after it was first published.
We all read this book independently and we're really looking forward to reading Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again. I was thrilled to see that Frank Cottrell Boyce chose to write follow-on stories, making this into a series.

Another book chosen because of the film from my childhood. This is a very simple story of the family and their magical car. It was fun and it could be a fun read aloud.
Ehhh, better for 7-9 year olds.
