Dang this book was magnificent--original story, unique very human characters who came off simultaneously as superhumanly talented while sympathetically flawed, great dialogue, themes and symbolism, tragedy and comedy, life and love...everything that makes a book truly great fiction is found within. A book that a true book-lover should not miss.

I was originally taken straight into this book, but I kept waiting for the "Amazing Adventure." I struggled to find the connection points between all the stories of Kavalier and Clay - it was really 2 separate stories that happened to intertwined heavily. I guess it's just really my cup of tea. I did appreciate the underlying story of friendship and family overcoming all else.
