Mr. Larsson, wherever you are, thank you for your magnificent story telling which, like your life, ended too abruptly and much too soon.

This book's fatal flaw was that it was so gosh darn boring. There were simply too many characters to keep track of and about 200 pages in I just stopped trying. And I say this about EVERY Larsson book but that man needed a goddamn editor. I do not need to know every time someone goes to sleep or has a meal or exercises. These are NOT relevant details. The final book of the Millennium trilogy delivers on the promise of the first two books. The start untangles the final events of The Girl Who Played with Fire, and then takes the story deeper into the halls of government, and through a gripping courtroom drama worthy of Law and Order. ...more

I thought this was by far the best of the three. Very gripping read. I had my doubts about this series - the first book was so-so...but this was wonderful.

I truly enjoyed the third installment of the Lisbeth Sander Story. The intricacies of the details in the case were challenging at times. I cared much more about the human elements of the story. There is a glaring unresolved story line between Blomkvist and Figuerola which bothers me. I guess, given that Stieg Larsson has died, I will just have to deal with never knowing what happens. Advocat Giannini was one of my favorite characters. I highly recommend reading the trilogy.

Was not too dissapointed. I am glad I stuck to the series. The first book was hard to get into. But after 77 pages it took off and I enjoyed all three books. A bit violent at times, but nothing that hasn't been seen on the news or big screen. ...more
