I liked this one much better than Dragon Tattoo, and I really enjoyed that one. I loved that we learned more about Lisbeth- and the more I learned, the more I liked her. And I liked her before! What a great character.

I enjoyed this much more than the first book. Although I still feel like these are a bit vulgar, it was intense! I think Swedish liberalism is still a bit much for me to swallow - but a page-turning tale to the very end! I also enjoyed the renewed focus on Salander, she's a much more entertaining character than Blomsky. ...more

How good is this book? Poverty-stricken ME who NEVER pays full price for a book just paid $24 to order an imported paperback copy of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest so I can read it a month before the $15.94 hardback or $10.35 Kindle becomes available on Amazon. Now that, My Dears, is true love. ...more

Well, Larsson didn’t get any better at writing. And it shouldn’t take halfway through the book to get to the actual mystery! The journalists didn’t get killed for hundreds of pages. That’s why there had to be the Caribbean prelude where Lisbeth there had to be a mini-mystery to get you hooked enough to stay until the big mystery shows up. After the real mystery started, it got pretty good. Lisbeth is a stone cold bad ass. Plus, she takes on and then takes out basically everybody who crosses her. ...more

This book went greatly into the specifics of Lisbeth's Salander's unfortunate upbringing. It also introduced many unsavory characters who (as I know because I am reading the 3rd book) follow her deeper into the tale.I really enjoyed this second book in the series! ...more

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down especially after the first half. The characters are amazing. They make you either love them, hate them, empathize with them, cheer for the them, wish they were dead, etc etc. There is a ton of hatred toward women in this series, it gets your blood boiling. This was definitely better than the first book because it was a little faster paced and it didn't need the drawn out introductions and plot setting in the beginning as the first one. I canno ...more

I couldn't wait to start this book after I read "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." It started out strong and then seemed to stay stuck in the same spot for about 100 pages. The ending was good but I don't know if I'll read the final book in the trilogy. ...more
