When I first saw one of the books in the Mrs. Pollifax series, I assumed it was another cozy mystery. I was expecting an American Miss Marple. Then as I read the story, I realized that it was a fun spy novel. I think of it as a Jessica Fletcher-meets-John le Carré kind of tale.

So I was eager to see Mrs. Pollifax through her next exciting adventure. This time, her new avocation takes her to Turkey on an equally thrilling journey, filled with danger and intrigue. I will admit that there were some ...more

This has been a fun, light-hearted series so far. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it doesn't pretend to be anything but what it is. These stories so far are fun, a little over-the-top, escapist reads. ...more
