What Members Thought
This is another entertaining, but somewhat violent mystery in the Hamish Macbeth series by M.C. Beaton. The story was a bit surprising, with the main mystery solved with more than 50 pages remaining. The rest of the narrative is dramatic, with a bit of foreshadowing perhaps for future tales. My mother-in-law and I have been reading this series fairly steadily now for the last couple of years and we have really enjoyed it. We only have a few more books to go until we are all caught up. Pretty funny, and a good one to listen to. I only wish M. C. Beaton didn't go off on little side crimes so often.
