This was one of the selections for the April 2011 Featured Author Monica Ferris in the Cozy Mysteries group here at Goodreads. I didn't get around to reading this book until the very end of April, unfortunately, but I was glad to find a new and interesting series. The story was entertaining and I liked the characters as none seemed to be all good or all bad. 2.5 stars but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt since it's the first book in the series. I was really disappointed at who the victim was. I do think there was a lot of character growth in Betsy since I did like her more towards the end of the book than I did at the beginning. It did drive me crazy that no one would admit to the victim having any enemy's that might want to kill her and the police department was annoying as well. #readforkimberly ...more
