A wonderful sentimental read, that I suggest you do not read on nook as instore read, unless you have no problem crying in public. I don't give out many 5 stars and only then for books that move me. Enzo is the kind of dog you need around when you are facing big-big problems.

I had to create a new bookshelf for this one. It's one of the best books I've ever read. It may sound silly to some to try to think from the mind of dog, but believe me this book is anything but silly and Enzo runs circles around, (sometimes literally!), other animal-genre books! You will enjoy this one a lot.

I really liked the idea of having the book narrated by the dog - but the dog was a little pretentious. His voice was inconsistent - sometimes all knowing and sometimes, well, a dog.
There was also a long stretch where the book was such a downer that I wanted to put it down. But the author redeemed himself with a quality ending and I liked that enough to bump my review from 3 to 4 stars.

What a great book! The family dog tells the story as he sees it. Enzo is thoughtful, conscientious, and ambitious. The story touched me--I was furious with the Twins (horrible, evil people), delighted with Zoe, and enamored of the racing world. This is not a book about a typical dog, but dog lovers should read this book.

This is the second time I've read this book and liked it even better. Sad and sweet and funny. I recomment it.
