This is the first book in the Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles series by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi. Our youngest and I really enjoyed the original series, The Spiderwick Chronicles - they were fun, dramatic, and fast reads. So I really looked forward to this next tale.
