This is the first book in the Henry Huggins series by Beverly Cleary. It's a fast read and introduces characters that will later be featured in her much-beloved Ramona Quimby series.
I like that it shows Henry's perspective - the story is likely to appeal more to boys, but our girls like his stories, too. It's a quick, fun read, and even though it's dated, it's still very charming.

This was a book that I never read when I was a child, but my niece is really into them. So I thought I would give it a try. The book was very cute and I plan on reading the series.
Easy to read but well written I understand why so many children love to read them.
