This is a heartbreaking, yet inspirational tale of life in war-torn Afghanistan. Seen primarily through the eyes of two women whose lives are entwined due to circumstance, the story encompasses the span of about thirty years in Afghanistan, from Soviet occupation to the American War on Terrorism following the 9/11 attacks.
