I was glad of the upbeat ending and enjoyed the message throughout the novel: making peace with your life, finding happiness where you can, and the treasure and heartbreak of family, biological or created. No One is Coming to Save Us has been compared to The Great Gatsby by many, but I’m not convinced of the comparison. I believe the novel stands on its own as a powerful story and highly recommend it for readers of contemporary literary fiction.
