His PTSD protagonist Scully Carter is a burned out war correspondent who has suffered permanent physical and mental injuries. And of course Scully drinks too much. One starts to wonder if only Agatha Christie's detectives did not drink to excess?

Tucker has a decent plot, but it's not too difficult to pick out the serial killer or see the ending twist coming. Still, it's a compulsive, fast-paced read which is sure to please mystery fans
