Ian McEwan's " On Chesil Neach is a perfectly encapsulated portrait of a marriage. I don't think I have ever read anything quite so sad, or heartbreaking. Two young and inexperienced newlyweds are celebrating their wedding at a hotel on Chesil Beach. Their inability to communicate tragically prevents them from expressing their true feelings.
