I got this book in a secondhand bookstore at Montreal; a young woman in charge of the book selection/acquisitions recommended it to me. I read the French version. I loved the peacefulness the language transmits. I also enjoyed the respect each of the characters (including the cat) professes to each other. I learned a lot and was very entertained by the story. I'm looking forward to read more from the author. ...more
