This was a beautiful novel. I picked it up as part of a book list that asked us to read a book on Judaism. I'm not sure what I expected but this wasn't it. It's a tale told in two time periods by the same woman. It starts when she is 85 and is clearing out her house to move into a retirement community. She stumbles upon a clue about her twin sister that has been missing since they were 18. The rest of the book divides itself between following the clues towards her sister and her childhood in LA
