This morning I finished listening to the audible unabridged edition of The Shining by Stephen King. This was an incredible book, and I absolutely loved every second of it. I'd seen the film many times, and the book is superior.
The character of Jack is perfect; he seems like he could be any normal man whose life has been hijacked by circumstances and bad decisions. He is frightening in how relatable he is.
