This is a short expose on the "works" of Mother Theresa. Hitchens rightly points out the disparity between the money donated to her charity and the money spent by her charity to help the poor. I wish that Hitchens had had the opportunity to write an second volume or amend this one after Mother Theresa's diaries were published and her lack of faith was revealed, but know that last piece only substantiates his original argument. If you prefer truth to comfort, then you should read this book.

A fun, quick read. I was a bit surprised as I was expecting a bit more vitriol and the Hitch didn't really seem to get on a roll until the closing pages. Really, there is a lot more dirt out there on the Sacred Cow of Calcutta and this volume just seems to scratch the surface. If anyone still holds to the popular mythology of her however, then this is a good introduction to other perspectives.
