Excellent reasoning against revealed/miraculous religion. I have also read many of the responses to this work and they are mostly ad-hominem attacks. Bishop Llandaff managed to agree with Paine that the Bible contained pronblems and suffered as a result:

I found The Age of Reason to be a very modern tome. The language is clear, concise, and at times even humorous. Paine is a gifted debator, and he carefully lays out his argument for Deism with references pulled from memory.
He must have been captivating in person. I wish he was around today to discuss the latest scientific discoveries. I wonder what Age of Reason Part III might contain.
