I was a great fan of Russell's popular books when I was a teenager. Later, when I discovered him to be one of the world's greatest philosophers, I was quite taken aback. This book rather lost its appeal for me as I got older. Nevertheless, I still have a sentimental attachment to it, for, among Russell's other popular works, it liberated me, freeing me from the religion I was born into. ...more
