This is one of those quintessential books for the ages, and a must read for anyone regardless of age, culture or scientific back ground. Sagan shows you the universe through his critical yet surprisingly child-like wonder of the goings on all around us, and he makes you realize it is OK to ask questions and find answers. I think this is a must-read for anyone over the age of 12.
Sagan masterfully outlined the reasons for skepticism, and its boundaries.
In my opinion, Sagan was at the pinnacle of science and able to bridge the divide between science and the common person. He makes complex concepts understandable. For anyone who has wondered why an understanding of science and the scientific method are important, Sagan makes it abundantly clear.
