This book made me cry-laugh and ugly-cry all at once. Not for the faint of heart, Samantha Irby says what everyone else is thinking... especially the gross and terrible stuff. Loved it.
Thanks to the Popsugar Reading challenge, I read this book, which is definitely not something I normally would read. Parts of it were hilarious and I really enjoyed them, and they inspired me to write my own essays about my stupid life. And parts of it, less so. I'm not sure that one can really give a better review of a book like this if it's not something they would normally pick up.

LOVED. I chuckled aloud while reading this many times. The essays were extremely self aware and kind of self deprecating but not in an annoying way I guess. The author’s stories and musings felt relatable even though the anecdotes were so incredibly specific. I just related to a lot of the emotions Irby described. I can’t wait to read MEATY and WOW, NO THANK YOU next!
Just finished the audio book - which the author narrated. Her story is sad, inspiring, funny and tragic. So much was very relatable. I thoroughly enjoyed her sense of humor and honestly. Some chapters I went back and listened to again.

What an astute observer of people and their habits! I could relate to her discomfort in strange situations with unknown people, and to having a digestive disease that makes new places a nightmare.

THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER READ. LIKE REAL "LOL" FUNNY. AND UNCOMFORTABLY DETAILED AND INAPPROPRIATE AND RELATABLE AND just honestly read this book
