I have to think a while on this one before giving a true rating. Definitely more character driven then plot driven - I needed something exciting to happen in the last half of the book to launch it up to 4+ stars. I cared about all of the characters, however, even Anne eventually, and very much wanted to see how it ended.

It is a good book. A story about family and the consequences of the choices we make. It is about mistakes and redemption. And what we carry within ourselves that is part of our parents, their heritage in our DNA.
