I was drawn into this story right away. The characters in this novel seem real and authentic, each person having their own separate identity and issues.
If you like drama and dysfunctional families this writer does it so well. I could hardly put the book down except for there were times I actually needed a break from the tension.

If you like a character driven family saga, you'll enjoy this one. This book captured my attention right from the start and never let it go - as we followed the paths of two families whose lives intersect over and over from the 1970s to the present. I listened to this on Audible and found the narrator to be quite good.
