I really liked the book. It’s hard to believe that parents could be so irresponsible. I thought parts of the book were a little slow but I would highly recommend.
This is my first non fiction/memoir to be put on my favourites shelf. I could read this over and over again. As heart breaking as this was in places, it equally made me smile in others. Jeannette Walls managed to turn her life of more downs than up into a work of art everyone should read. As much as I disliked her parents and their choices, I cared what happened to them in the end. A beautifully written, tear jerker, laugh out loud memoir.
I couldn't imagine growing up this way, or raising my children this way!
