I liked this book a lot. The story of almost all the characters were very interesting, especially David's.
My favorite characters were Liston and Ada. I do not know what Ada would have done without Liston's mother figure. David, although a very interesting character, felt a little bit sellfish; especially regarding the decision to have a child.
I also liked the scientific concept, especially the parts about ELIXIR, the pioneer of contemporary AI, was very defined really good.

I very interesting premise and one I enjoyed once I got into the story. It took me almost a year to get through this because I found parts of it to be dry and technical and confusing. Once I was more than half way through, it was easier going and I cared more about the characters. Ada grew up so isolated and maybe that was why the book felt so cold and impersonal. When her father got sick, she was able to live with another family with children and over time came into her own.

Absolutely loved this book! I was hooked by the first 20 minutes of the audiobook. Every character was well fleshed out, the plot was intriguing, the pacing was spot on (it never felt stagnant or boring), the little reveals and time jumping worked so well, and the writing was simply beautiful. If you like character driven stories that are somewhat mystery and somewhat coming of age you will fall in love.
