How well do you know your spouse? What experiences prior to marriage have shaped you to live a secret life?
In this novel, you will follow Rachel Childs, the main character, from her childhood days through to adult life, her career and her marriages. The first half of this book was all about Rachel and her parents, as she is trying to solve some unanswered questions after her mother dies, while becoming a successful reporter, struggling with the reality of some of the stories she has to cover. Well, I'm officially a fan of Dennis Lehane! This book was really enjoyable.
The book is divided into 3 parts. The first starts out telling the story of Rachel Childs and the development of her anxiety and agoraphobia.
