Scarlett Readz and Runz....Through Novel Time & Distance
How well do you know your spouse? What experiences prior to marriage have shaped you to live a secret life?

In this novel, you will follow Rachel Childs, the main character, from her childhood days through to adult life, her career and her marriages. The first half of this book was all about Rachel and her parents, as she is trying to solve some unanswered questions after her mother dies, while becoming a successful reporter, struggling with the reality of some of the stories she has to cover. This was a wild ride. It never stops. Ever. I definitely want to read more by Lehane.

The first half of the book is Rachel's backstory. We learn about the complex history of a lady who eventually becomes an on-air personality until she breaks. Live. On camera. The story then jumps forward to Rachel as a

Loved Shutter Island, but this one was just not for me. Pacing way off, first half seems irrelevant to the second half. And the second half is just unrealistic. Very disappointed.
