Made it to p. 281. I'm really not a quitter, but life is too short to waste another 900 pages on this book.
I'm really disappointed since it appears to be universally loved but it's just a bunch of women in post-Civil-War era society create a "literary group" to "better themselves." Sometimes they get married. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they have kids. Sometimes their husbands are assholes. Sometimes they don't like each other. For decades.
