Why: Although a few of us have started reading this, and some may have started watching the Netflix series produced and directed by Angelina Jolie following this memoir, we thought it is such an important and powerful memoir that needs to be read by all so that we can further understand how necessary it is (especially at a time like this) to remember history, and to see how horrific dehumanizing a people can be. This is said to be a testament to human resiliency and the ability to rise above labels to continue to do good for the world.
