I was really enjoying the historical-fiction aspects of this book, but then the answers to the main questions were answered half way through and the book ran out of steam. Rather than keeping me hooked and dragging me through the second world war with her, the main character answered her question and then turned around and wondered off into the modern age...the story was interesting when it was about the girl living in WWII. Breathtaking and heartbreaking story about a 10-year-old Jewish girl in 1942 Paris who tries to save her little brother from being arrested with the rest of the family by hiding him in a closet.
