I read this for the January meeting of my book club. In my book club, the members take turns choosing a book, and I was at first disappointed that we would be reading yet another book about the holocaust. However, this book had a different focus -- what took place in France during the German Occupation. Hmmm. I really enjoyed the historical aspect of this novel. I, like most people, didn't know about the French police's involvement in rounding up the French Jews & sending them to Auschwitz. But, this story was way too heavy & sad for me. I almost put it down about 5 times b/c it was so hard to read. I didn't necessarily want to know about what happened to these children & babies. bikin meringis bacanya, terutama di bagian-bagian awal
gw lebih suka kisah tentang sarah
bagian Julia malah berasa ganggu hahaha.. padahal Julia yang lagi nyelidikin cerita itu, tapi jadinya malah pengen cerita Julia dikit aja..

I, too, learned something I didn't know from this book. It was a quick, easy read and I could hardly wait for the next page to find where the story was going to take me.
