excellent!
I read The Book several years ago. I just put in my to pile to read again after a trip to Savannah. What can I say the movie was good, but as usual didn't do the book justice. If you what a good read about a great city and its eccentric citizens, than pick up this book next time you pass a bookstore.

Came across this while browsing for books and remembered how much I hated it. Felt motivated to put up a one star review to try discourage others from reading it and suffering through it as I did.
Read this several years ago and thought it was just amazing. Movie didn't do it justice. Great characters, description, writing--this one deserves a 5, no doubt.
