What Members Thought

Slaughter-house 5 is a must read Vonnegut. It skillfully blends black humour and satire to portray the life of titular character Billy and the impact of the Dresden bombing experience on him. The sardonic and light-hearted tone in the novel is a stark contrast to the heart of message- one that is serious and attempts to conjure a change in perception of the war. A reading of the novel will no doubt leave you a pacifist for life.
