This novel by my favorite writer Kurt Vonnegut Jr. is easily in my top 3 novels I have read. It is a wonderful, funny story and reads quickly and really makes you think. I won't go into detail as there is enough reviews on this site for that, but satirical science fiction does not get any better than this.

Bit of a slow burn compared to other Vonnegut stories but its clearly the ground work for his later titles we all know and love. We are forced to consider the question, how do we behave in the face of being used? Is it a good thing or bad? I quite enjoyed the irony of the ending. A true vonnegut classic.

Fantastic read; hard to put down. Vonnegut consistently displays and uncanny ability to lace reality with the outlandish style of his plot creating a constantly entertaining and enlightening work. Vonnegut's language and rhythm throughout this piece is brilliant. He creates a flow through the storyline that carries you along easily. This is a fantastic example of why Kurt Vonnegut's name belongs amongst American greats, both as an author and an artist.

Vonnegut gives you the meaning to the universe here, and it's something much more believable than any religion could offer. This is one of his finest books, though it's hard to decide which is the best. I dare not divulge any of the story, because it is very much worth it to read and find out for yourself.
