What Members Thought
Well, I spent 6 months reading this book. Overall, I enjoyed it, though it’s not my favorite of Dickens. As usual, I most enjoyed the characters: Mr & Mrs Micawber, Aunt Betsy, Mr Dick…but not Dora, she drove me a bit nuts. It was generally an enjoyable story, sometimes a bit slow and predictable, but a satisfying ending. I read it mostly as “homework” before reading Demon Copperhead, and I look forward to comparing the two.
