Damn. I don't even know what to say... It didn't end on a cliffhanger, but it makes me wanna continue so much. It's such a thought out story, with rich and developing characters, with a slow, but nevertheless interesting plot... Let's take it step by step.

Plot. In the good half of the book not much happens. I mean, thing happen, but they don't have major action feel to them. And yet the book manages to keep you interested. This is rather rare and very, very pleasing.

I also enjoyed that we follow Fitz's life since he's just a child, what, about six years old? It is fascinating how he grows and changes and learns his ways... Amazing work.

Characters. I loved them all. And not only fangirly love to some of them *cough*except for the Fool*cough*, but also real appreciation for all the side characters and the main ones.
I've already mentioned Fitz, but he's not even the most likable for now. I loved Chade, Verity, Burrich (even though he's a jerk sometimes).
I loved the dogs, ahah. We have quite a lot of dogs in this book, so it's definitely for me! I'm a big dog lover. Although a lot of dogs in this book meet a sad end, they're still great and I can't wait to read about more doggos. I'm sorry, ahah. I like dogs more than people.
The Fool is a whole other story. He's so complicated and mysterious and I wanna know everything about him, which seems impossible, cause he's a shady character. But I did enjoy (view spoiler) Can't wait to read more about him.

World. It's a rather classic fantasy world, but a very well built one. And we have, for example, Mountain Kingdom where traditions are very different from others and very interesting to read about. Like, maybe I haven't read much in my life, but I don't recall reading about something like this. It's not mind blowing, just different. I hope we will see it again. Perhaps, other kingdoms as well.
I also loved the magic in this world, I hope we will learn more about it, because I don't quite understand how the Skill works with the Wit. Or doesn't. Whatever. I'd like to know more.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that I'm very glad I discovered such an amazing series with a help of my friend Janis. I'll continue with it as soon as I'm done with some more pressing issues. ...more
