John Green is one of my very very favorite authors. He's so good and he writes in a funny way that I can relate to. Paper Towns will forever be one of my favorite books because while most teen books are focused on relationships in high school or whatever, Paper Towns is just about an awesome friendship and doing what you have to do for friends because you really do care about them. I haven't seen the movie because I'm scared it wont be close to the book and I loved the book so much. Again, I lov ...more

When the book Paper towns came but, it was all anyone was talking about. Everyone had liked the movie and but I never read the book. I thought it would be a good refresher and hopefully a good read. I really liked it at first. I was completely engaged and I couldn't put the book down. 2/3 into the book, I started to lose interest. Paper Towns is a very fun book. It's very similar to John Green's other books, because it centers around a bunch of teenagers. The themes were also prominent throughout the whole book. Quentin is one of the main characters and I liked the values he stood for. It was interesting to see how Quentin would do anything for Margo, even if the same feelings he had for her weren't being returned. In the book, John Green also emphasized friendship. Quentin's friends, Ben and Marcus, would support his ide ...more

This book follows the story of Quentin and Margo. Margo and Quentin used to be best friends when they were younger. Now as seniors in high school ready to graduate, Margo suddenly appears at Quentin's window asking to help her get revenge on people in the night. After their adventure, Margo disappears. Quentin then tries to solve the clues left behind by Margo in order to find her. I really like the story, but the language was vulgar. This book has a lot of suggestive content and swearing. This book was so exciting, I didn't let go of it until I finished it. The main character is a high school boy, making it easier for a reader like me to relate. The book has many parts that are confusing, but this helps the reader pay closer attention to the writing and appreciate the book more. I recommend this book to romance fanatics like me. ...more
