I thought this was an entertaining and well paced mystery. The murderer was blatantly signposted early on in the book (and this is for a reader who very rarely guesses whodunnit!), but it was fun seeing how the detectives set about solving the mystery. The climax was slightly hysterical and melodramatic, but it certainly kept me reading - past my bedtime even :-)

Don't you love books that make you cry? This book was fabulous. The book is told in alternating chapters between the cop who's investigating Merete's disappearance on one hand in 2007, while the other chapters are catching you up to what has happened to Merete since shortly before her disappearance up to the present (2002-2007).
