Presented as consecutive journal entries along with letters to home, this travelogue is altogether a fascinating read. I felt like I was experiencing the highs and lows of the adventure. The author writes in an energetic/optimistic style, yet does not shy away from brutal honesty about culture shock and disappointment. Unscripted and Unbridled Travelogue!
Although I’m no world traveler, and this unscripted and unbridled travelogue only further convinced me to stay put on native soil—this book offers the reader so much more than exposure to a faraway land and its culture. While, I willingly embarked on the author’s journey to Nepal and Thailand, reveling in the marvels she pointed out, this book is no tourist trap. Heavens, no!
