Carole Roman has written a lovely story about the real life facts of living on Mars! This book is packed with information that will delight both kids and parents alike, and many stats will be quite amazing when the reader stops to think about it.

MY THOUGHTS
What fun and how interesting it is for adults and little ones to travel to different worlds, that including planets. I know that I learned a lot through reading all of Ms. Roman's books. In this one I learned that a year on Mars last 1.88 Earth years and a day is a little more than 24 hours. I was amazed that after the sun burns off the frost in the morning, the humidity is 100% which meant lots of moisture and clouds. There are many things to learn along with new words. I am a fan of the many Carole P. Roman books. As I wrote in the past, Carole P. Roman is a wonderful multi award-winning writer and educator who publishes very insightful, educational, and fun books that children should read and enjoy, and learn from them. The books also contain entertaining drawings.

Once again Ms. Roman has written a wonderful book about the solar system. This book is set in the future around 2054 were you would be called a "Martian". Getting there is a family experience and would take more the six months until you arrived. Your parents have explained to you that you would be staying on Mars for almost two years. You have to wait for the planets to realign for a quick and safe return.

Carole has done it again with an out of this world tale. This time to Mars.
This book as well as the others that Carole has written are such great tools for learning. This one has a lot of science for the younger children. They can learn what it's like to live on another planet and also learn about that planet as well.
The illustrations are colorful and adds to the life of the story. And as usual there is a pronunciation guide and dictionary at the end of the book (which is an added plus for us ad ...more

I love this great adventurous journey, but this one is uniquely different. This time, we are journeying through a fascinatingly written book about traveling to and living on Mars. Just like when the first colonies were established in America here on Earth, they didn't know what to expect, so they had to learn how to adapt to the living conditions.
