description

"...a storm is brewing matey."
Captain No Beard, his cousin Hallie and their youngest crewmember, Cayla, are ready for another adventure!

There's a rumor about a treasure being located on Snake Island (though Hallie isn't a fan of the "snake" part).

No one knows what the treasure is, but they all want to find out! BUT...there's a storm on horizon.

And while there's a plan in case of emergency...some of the crew members have some doubts.
"...Cabin Girl Cayla, our secret weapon,

Captain No Beard and his crew are off on a new adventure. This time in search of treasure on Snake Island. While watching the sunrise, Polly the Parrot reminds them," Red sky in morning, Sailors take warning." Soon the rain starts pouring. Polly explained she learns from reading!

Wonderful, fun and exciting. The little in your life will love this book. Treasures, snakes and rain, what's not to like, right? You will be surprised at what the treasure really is though.

I didn't find any issues.

REVIEW

Another wonderful children's book by Carole P. Roman . This one is another book in the Captain No Beard's Series. THE TREASURE OF SNAKE ISLAND is the 5th book in this series. As the reader follows Captain No Beard and his crew they will fight fear and loss to overcome anyone that is out to hurt them. In this book, the crew learns about facing their fears one at a time. As a storm is on the horizon, Polly the Parrot tells the tale about all the things she learns by reading.

Once again Captain No Beard and his trusted First Mate Hallie are aboard their sailing ship facing the dangers of the open sea and searching for great treasure. They are supported by a stout, equally brave and capable crew; therefore they can face the dangers inherent in exploration with anticipation. On this adventure they have along Cabin Girl Cayla, their secret weapon against even the greatest of dangers.
They learn that the treasure they seek is on Snake Island, so they must overcome their f

I admittedly adore this author and her series of books. There is always a lesson to be learned with the Captain No Beard crew. This time the crew indeed faces a mighty storm but that storm they all face is fear. Each of the crew has a fear or something they dislike and choose to head straight into it.

Along the way they find a treasure that is so delightful that I could do nothing but smile. This treasure, at least I think, is one that the author has given her grandchildren many times over. Ah, b

Another fantastic book from the Captain No Beard Story! My daughter is sitting beside me as we work our way through the series! She loves them and so do I!

One of my favorite aspects of this series of books is the way the illustrator has put so much detail and thought into every picture! Great!

The brief outline of the story without giving away too much is Captain No Beard and his crew setting out on fantastic and wonderful adventures across the seas. If you love adventure, then you'll love any

"The Treasure of Snake Island" is a fun story to read and it even promotes reading inside the pages too! The crew was out in the morning when Polly the Parrot pointed out that the sky was red. When the crew asked what that meant, Polly explained that he read in a book that it means storms are coming. The crew weathers the storm and then they all want to find out more about what books have to offer, which is a great way to encourage kids to read even more books! Then the crew heads to snake islan ...more
