Brad held up a lantern, letting the light pool around them. It was quiet here....Shadows stretched on the whitewashed stone...
Brad and Julie, power couple, love to flip houses - the older the better!

Well, Julie loves it and Brad doesn't mind it.

Well...he used to not mind it.
This had to be the worst flip they'd ever attempted.
The latest house they bought, the Hemmings House on Bedlam St., is proving to be a challenge.

It's well over a hundred years old, so along wi

I have always thought it would be cool to be a house flipper. It amazes me that people can buy what looks like a run down piece of nothing and turn it into a showplace. That is why when I started reading this new book by Michael Phillip Cash, I thought that it was going to be a bit of fun mixed in with a bit of scary. I was not disappointed in the least.

I will tell you though what it is not. If you are looking for a straight up, hiding under your covers, blood and gore type book, this is not it!

REVIEW

I have read Mr. Cash's books and he never disappoints. I believe out of all the books I've read of his, this goes to the top. House flipping is what the young couple in the story do. This is how they make a living to survive. Everything seemed to be going good in the house flipping part of their lives, that is, until they get a too good to be true house. When they are in the house, they get the feeling that they are not the only ones there. They' re soon to discover that they have other oc

Mr. Cash has written a really interesting book combining the past and the present with some very unusual situations occurring.

Julie and Brad Evans are house flippers and usually buy inexpensive houses that they can invest little money in and flip for a profit. When Julie finds the Hemming’s House on Bedlam Street in Cold Spring Harbor she cannot resist the old charm of the house even though it is going to needs lots of repairs.

When Brad starts working on the house, he is not prepared for the pre

A Victorian mansion with a quiet sadness and a shadow of darkness looming in from all sides, beckoning new-comers to its unseen dark shade. If you are a Gothic reader, then you will love Gothic horror. Its uniquely written details will get under your skin and into your understanding, playing havoc with the imagination. I love the curiosity of the plot and the buildup of the characters. Flipping a haunted house is original. Could it be an unsettled spirit roamed its hallowed halls and is filled w

The Flip is a very interesting Ghost romp, that will keep you turning the page. A husband and wife team up to flip houses and make a fortune.

The only problem with the current house is that the current residents are ghost and don't want to leave. I like this novel, I just wish it had more meat in the story. I didn't know ghost could travel, but in this novel they did. I like the imagination and the humor.

If you want a quick ghostly adventure, give The Flip a try...

A fast read with interesting characters and a nice blend of genres. Brad and his wife Julie are house flippers. Julie would love to earn enough money to quit her day job to join her husband, who is a full-time contractor.

What could go wrong when they purchase an old Victorian house named Bedlam in Cold Spring? Plenty. Turns out the original owners, Gerald and Tessa decide to put their ghostly talents to the test by torturing the new owners.

Why were Gerald and Tessa killed? Readers learn about th

I actually began reading this book months ago, but this story is written in such a horrifying way, I had to put it aside and read something else. I have read this author's work before and this is by far the most frightening story I've read by him. He also has a talent for adding unexpected twists in his story, which I won't give away here. ...more

Building up a house flipping business, Julie and Brad Evans acquire a once-magnificent but now decrepit mansion. Things begin to go wrong almost immediately, as the couple and their helpers find themselves changed while inside the house. As their relationship becomes strained and accidents befall the flippers, it becomes increasingly obvious that the house is haunted by a spirit who has strange designs on Brad. And still stranger things are in residence.

The Flip is the sort of tale a friend of m
