Roman continues to show her unique ability to create captivating children's books. Is there anything this author can't do? This book is different than her other series, and just as good. The lyrical prose is mesmerizing for young children's ears to listen to. The artwork is beautiful and the colors so enchanting. My daughter and I really loved this book and read it three times in one sitting. And it was educational, as well as entertaining.

“Rocket-Bye” by Carole P. Roman, invites you to fly far where only a rocket can take you, showing and exploring the skies with all it has. You will wonder from above how small everything is down on Earth, how close and friendly our constellations look and how bright the stars are, shining and lighting the way on the trip to all the planets.

This book is a chronicle of a voyage of the imagination, where two children hop literally on top of a rocket ship and then fly on it through the solar system, starting with Mercury and then outward past all the planets. Along the way, they look at some of the most prominent stars and the constellations they are a part of. At the end, the two children are tucked into their beds and are sound asleep.

I received this book as a gift. My opinions are my own in this honest, non-biased review.
Two young siblings dream of exploring the galaxy as pirates in the sky. Each night they imagine riding a rocket ship while zipping past the planets and constellations in the heavens. Magically, at the end of their journey, the children find themselves safely tucked in their beds.

ROCKET-BYE by Carole P. Roman is another great children's book that is filled with wonderful text and vividly colored illustrations about our galaxy that children can learn about as they travel through the pages and wonder what will appear first on this exciting trip beyond the blue. Along the way the planets seem to pause, for a spellbound glance at all their many fascinating wonders, and the stars sparkle like little diamond treasures, hidden among a blanket of velvety black as the rocket, as ...more

What better way to put your child to bed than with a story. This one will have them soaring through the skies. Flashing past the moon and exploring the galaxy. Their imaginations will take them to new worlds and exciting places. The perfect "goodnight" to your little.
Lyrical and sweet, this book will help start off your child's dreams each night. It's just the right length to read at nap time or bedtime. As their eyes get heavier, they'll already be imagining the moon and rocket ship they'll h ...more

What young kids dream when they head to bed at night.
What do kids think about when they see the night sky before bed? They dream of the moon, the stars and the planets, and what it would be like to see all in a rocket ship. But in the end, they find themselves in bed and in dreamland.
This is a very colorful book and the kids' imaginations soar along with the rocket ship they ride on. Carole does a wonderful job with the story and the rhyming. A book for all young children. ...more

I received this book from the author/publisher for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are entirely my own.
In Rocket-Bye, Carole takes her young, dreaming readers on an adventure to the galaxy. Riding atop their rocket, two boys are featured in this bedtime adventure poem as they learn the galaxy. They encounter all of the planets, as well as some well-known constellations, and just have a good time up in space.
The words of the poem flow just like they should; with a soft, bedt ...more
